Who said creating content for social media was easy? I wish it was! If you are an influencer then you know how difficult and sometimes infuriating it can be to find the right content to create and then create it. Don't let me start about the time consuming it takes to create everything. This is why I have always said that if you don't have the passion to creating content you won't be able stick into this world (goes for every work you do). Actually, I think that one issue can be on the organization of the content. Where to start, what to use and how to put everything into reality.
For this reason, here are a few hacks for you to help you get organized this year for your social media content.
Above all, you want to create something you are proud of.

Do Your Research
The first thing that needs to be done is doing your research. Go thru your social media feed, look at the people who you follow and are in the niche as yours but have a higher content rate, save the posts that talk to you and you know you can do the same but in your way. Look through other social media apps such as Pinterest, search for the niche that you are in and again save the pins that can help you for your content. Make sure that the posts you will save are the ones that you know will talk and attract your audience to engage. And one more thing, I am not encouraging you to do a complete copy and paste but to get inspired by these posts in order to do yours in your own way (don't forget we all have different audiences).
Pro tip: If you are looking for more insights, ask your audience what they would like to see more of your feed. Do some engaging stories and let them tell you what they like. This will definitely help you into your process of creating content.

Create A Mood Board
Creating a mood board was the main thing I decided to create this year and so far I am asking myself why didn't I do it a longtime ago? Mood boards are lifesavers because they help you focus on your social media goals and give you a better image of what you are looking for.
Pro tip: From all the social media posts (Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook and others) you saved, create your mood board starting from them, use the images, create the mood based on your niche (and you can also create multiple mood boards using different topics such as lifestyle, beauty, fashion, self care, organization, home decor... you want to share on your social media page. This helps a lot). If you don't know how to make your board, use Canva, this platform will help you create the perfect montage you need to create your mood board. Check out my moodboard using Canva.

Batch Your Content
One thing I have learned thru my few years of social media is that batching content will save you hours of frustration and mix up. Because of life that happens everyday, we get busy with other things and as influencers we know how time consuming it can be to create content so batching content will help you. Schedule days (one or two days, depending on your availability) per week where you know you can create your content. Prepare the content you want to do (clothes, makeup, equipment, a note of the topics you want to do), then when it's time, batch your content as much you can. Use up these days of creating content.

Schedule Your Content
After all the research you made, creating your mood board and batching content, it is time to get down to scheduling. Scheduling your content will be the best time saving for you especially if you are not a full time influencer but have a 9-5 job on the side, or a busy parent with kids or just life. Today there as so many tools to help you schedule your content and you can do it in such easy steps. A few of my favorite tools to help you schedule your content such as ContentCal, Planoly, Sprout Social (for more tools check at the end of the article). If you don't wanna go all over these apps, you can simply use your Google Calendar, Notes or Microsoft Excel (easily put down your schedule and organize it however you want!).
I use Planoly to schedule all my posts to be posted for the week (even when I am not connected) and use Notes to list out my weekly content.

Stick To It!
After organizing your whole strategy for your content, we all know that sometimes life happens and with everything around, it can still be difficult to stick to your plan. However, you have to find a way to get to it. This is why it is also important to create a realistic schedule that you know you can work around and follow it.
Pro tip: add your mood board as a background screen on your phone, laptop to remind you of the content you are trying to create, stick notes and you can also add reminders as a bonus.
One more thing, like I shared earlier, you have to love what you do before doing it, which means, have fun and enjoy while creating your content!
